How Quickap coupons bring inactive customers back

An inactive customer is not a lost customer. With coupons configured in Quickap, you identify who stopped ordering and launch a win-back campaign in just a few clicks.

Every restaurant has customers who placed an order one day, enjoyed it, and then simply stopped coming back. That does not necessarily mean the experience was bad. Sometimes it is routine, a busy schedule, a changed habit, or just the lack of a reminder.

The win-back coupon exists precisely for that: to bring back people who already know you, without having to start from scratch.

Why reactivation is cheaper than acquisition

Acquiring a new customer requires exposure, promotion, and usually some investment in reach.

Reactivating a customer who has already bought takes far less:

  • they already know the restaurant;
  • they already trust the operation;
  • they already know what to order;
  • they just need a reason to come back.

A well-placed coupon can be that reason.

How Quickap identifies inactive customers

In the Quickap dashboard, you have access to the order history for each customer. From there, you can identify who has not ordered in more than 15, 30, or 60 days — depending on your repurchase cycle.

With that information in hand, you create a coupon targeted specifically at that segment.

How to create a win-back coupon in Quickap

In the dashboard, the coupons module lets you configure:

  • coupon name: identifies the campaign internally (e.g., BACK10);
  • discount type: fixed amount (e.g., $8 off) or percentage (e.g., 10%);
  • validity: expiration date to create urgency;
  • minimum order value: protects your margin;
  • usage limit: per person, per period, or total redemptions;
  • distribution channel: WhatsApp, email, Stories, or link.

Once the coupon is created, you send it via WhatsApp directly to the customers identified as inactive.

A real-life example of a win-back campaign

Scenario: a customer who ordered 45 days ago and has not returned.

Message:

"Hi, we miss you! Use coupon BACK10 and get $10 off your next order over $45. Valid until [date]."

Link: digital menu with the coupon field already visible at checkout.

The customer clicks, applies the coupon, and completes the order — no friction.

Types of coupons that work well for reactivation

Type When to use
Fixed discount (e.g., $8 off) well-defined average order value, clear savings for the customer
Percentage (e.g., 10% off) higher ticket, percentage feels more attractive
Free delivery works very well when delivery fee is an objection
Free combo dessert or drink included on orders above a set value

When to send the coupon to maximize conversion

Timing greatly influences results.

Best moments:

  • Tuesday or Wednesday: early in the week with higher message open rates;
  • just before lunch or dinner: hungry customer, easier decision;
  • near a holiday or special date: Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Christmas;
  • after a weather event: heavy rain drives up delivery orders.

Avoid:

  • sending on Saturday night when the operation is already at peak capacity;
  • using the same coupon too frequently for the same audience.

How to measure whether the coupon worked

After the campaign, track in the dashboard:

  • how many orders used the coupon;
  • average ticket on orders with a coupon;
  • how many customers were truly inactive;
  • how many came back and ordered without a coupon in the following 30 days.

That last indicator — repurchase without a discount — is what shows whether the reactivation was truly successful.

Win-back coupons are the cheapest investment in delivery marketing

You do not need to reach new people. You do not need to build credibility. You just need to show up at the right moment with a small enough reason for the customer to choose you again.

When this process is set up in Quickap, it becomes repeatable: you run the campaign whenever your inactive base grows, with little effort and predictable results.
